Dr.Eric M. Kraus
Eric M. Kraus, M.D., M.S., F.A.C.S. completed his Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery residency at the University of Iowa in 1983. Since then, he has been a Board Certified otologic surgeon in private group practice at the Ear Center of Greensboro, P.A., Greensboro, NC. He is an adjunct clinical professor at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro.  Eric is an inventor, has been granted two U.S. utility patents, and has a third U.S patent pending. He has invented the Kraus Ossicle-Cup middle ear prosthesis, the Kraus TM Microcut Forceps, and the new Kraus K-Helix middle ear prostheses used for endoskeletal ossicular reconstruction.  He has experience interfacing with the patent process, with industry to move from invention-prototype to marketable product, and with the FDA.
